Carrier Mills-Stonefort FFA competes in SIU livestock judging invitational

CARRIER MILLS - Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School's FFA competed in two area contests recently.

The team competed in the SIU District Livestock Judging Invitational on April 20. During the competition the students judged cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats. Forty-eight teams from central and southern Illinois competed in the event. The CMSF FFA team members for livestock judging were Cameron Owens, Lauren Hancock, Allie Isom and Justin Gulley.

Two days earlier, CMSF FFA attended the Murray State Future Farmers of America Field Day Competition. The students had multiple events that they could compete in, including livestock, soils, poultry, tractor driving, horsemanship, rodeo events, small animal tech, tobacco judging, and small engines.

CMSF High School students in attendance for that competition were Cameron Owens, Justin Gulley, Lauren Hancock, Taylor Davis, Brayden Edwards, Alex Peebels, Shanna Rone, Walker Kielhorn, and Alex Maxfield.
