Kirsten Eversmann of Harrisburg to appear at Carnegie Hall

NEW YORK - Harrisburg's Kirsten Eversmann will join an ensemble cast at Carnegie Hall to celebrate The New York Pops 35th Birthday Gala.

The Camp Broadway Kids, a musical theater ensemble comprised of 60 theater-loving kids, ages 12-16, will be featured at The New York Pops 35th Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall on Monday, April 30, 2018.

Making their 11th appearance at this annual star-studded event, the Camp Broadway Kids will perform under the baton of New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke. The benefit concert will also feature Michael Arden, Roger Bart, Jodi Benson, Ashley Brown, Kerry Butler, Nick Cordero, Susan Egan, Harvey Fierstein, Cheryl Freeman, James Monroe Iglehart, Adam Jacobs, Judy Kuhn, Patina Miller, Roz Ryan, Vaneese Thomas, Lillias White and more.

Now in its 23rd year, Camp Broadway LLC is the award-winning industry leader in presenting experiential theater-arts based enrichment programs for children.

Camp Broadway's 60-member cast, selected from a national audition of over 500 amateur performers, will make their Carnegie Hall debut at the culmination of a three-day rehearsal featuring master classes in vocal performance, dancing and acting under the direction Camp Broadway's creative team including Director/Choreographer Cynthia Thole (Broadway credits include Me and My Girl, Singin' in the Rain, 42nd Street, My Fair Lady, and, Meet Me in St. Louis) and Music Director Christine Riley (National Tour; Thoroughly Modern Millie).

The Camp Broadway Kids hail from 32 states and represent 57 cities in the U.S., as well as Brazil and Puerto Rico.
