New York Times best-selling author, Kobi Yamada, to visit Gallatin County

JUNCTION - Award-winning author Kobi Yamada will be visiting students and faculty at Gallatin County School at 12:30 p.m. on March 23. The community is also cordially invited.

The visit will include a reading of his New York Times best-selling children's book "What Do You With an Idea?" and a Q&A with the author.

Published by Compendium and illustrated by Mae Besom, "What Do You Do With an Idea?" tells the story of one brilliant idea and the child who helps to bring it into the world.

As the child's confidence grows, so does the idea itself. And then, one day, something amazing happens. It is a story for anyone, at any age, who's ever had an idea that seemed a little too big, too odd, or too difficult.

"What Do You Do With an Idea?" has won several awards, including the Independent Publishers Book Award, the Washington State Book Award, and the Moonbeam Children's Book Award.

It has also hit multiple best-seller lists, such as Publishers Weekly, the Wall Street Journal, and USA Today. This is the first title in Yamada's "What Do You Do With…" three-part children's book series.

"I am thrilled that the New York Times best-selling author, Kobi Yamada, and his wife, Heidi, who have family in Gallatin County, will be taking the time to come to Gallatin County School for an assembly about his inspirational books and the motivation behind writing them," says Superintendent Lucinda Schmitt.

Yamada said, "It's a privilege to visit Gallatin County School and share my books with the students and faculty there. My hope is that these books encourage kids to make every moment count, to hold nothing back, to live their best life."
