Chester woman ticketed after hit-and-run

A 24-year-old Chester woman, Jade M. Jolly, was ticketed after a Sunday morning accident in the 1900 block of Swanwick Street, in front of Chester High School.

According to a news release from the Chester Police Department, officers were called out at 1:54 a.m. on the report of a hit-and-run accident involving a parked 2003 Chevrolet Silverado belonging to Sandra Wentworth, of Ava.

The CPD described the damage as "moderate." Photos posted to Facebook showed the vehicle, which had a "For Sale" sign posted on it, with damage to its driver's side rear tail light, bumper and quarter panel.

A camper shell had also been knocked off. Police reportedly identified Jolly and the vehicle she allegedly drove, a 2017 Ford F-150, later that afternoon.

Wentworth reported on Facebook that Jolly had abandoned the truck and someone had called police.

The news release stated Jolly was ticketed for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving while license suspended.

The Chester Fire Department was paged out at 2:03 a.m. for a washdown of debris from the accident.
