Indianettes nab awards at SEMO

The Du Quoin Indianettes dance team returned from their recent trip to Southeast Missouri State University with several team and individual awards.

The team received the Technical Growth Award, the Superior Ribbon for Home Dance Routine, the Superior Ribbon for Team Routine and a bid to nationals.

The Showmanship Award was given to Trinity Wright, Raylee Carroll, Mackenzie Sizemore, Addie Carver, Brooke Ward and Braylee Watson. Nominations for All-American were presented to Brooke Ward, Kloey Harsy and Avery Waller.

Brooke Ward received a Pin It Forward Award and was also named an All-American.

The dance team worked hard from morning to evening learning dances, working to better their technique and building their team. The Indianettes are coached by Brittany Funk and Bri Green.
