Gunfire exchanged in Harrisburg, 1 detained

HARRISBURG – Harrisburg Police Chief David Morris said one person of interest was taken into custody after shots were fired early Tuesday afternoon.

"There was an exchange of gunfire in the South Main Street area near Raymond Street," Morris said. "No one was injured."

A weapon was recovered at the scene.

Two others are wanted for questioning regarding the incident, which occurred at 1:12 p.m., Morris said.

He asked that anyone with information call the Saline County Sheriff's Office at (618) 252-8661.

"They can leave their name and telephone number, and they'll remain anonymous," Morris said.
