Perry County man sentenced for meth
<span style="font-weight: 400;">On April 19, Bradley M.D. Miller, 28, of Cutler, was sentenced to 168 months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">In a news release from Donald S. Boyce, United States attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Miller - who had previously pleaded guilty - was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and fined $300.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The superseding indictment alleges that the methamphetamine offense occurred between 2014 and September 2016 in Perry, Randolph, St. Clair, and Franklin Counties.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Evidence at the plea and sentencing hearings established that Miller was involved with co-defendant Taylor C. Robertson and numerous other persons in the distribution of meth ice in Southern Illinois.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Meth Ice is methamphetamine which has a purity level of at least 80 percent. At sentencing, the district court found that Miller was responsible for the distribution of 1.4 kilograms of ice.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Miller received an enhanced sentence because he used a juvenile for distribution of the drug. Co-defendant Robertson was previously sentenced to 57 months of imprisonment for her role in the conspiracy.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">One co-defendant has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. Three co-defendants have pleaded not guilty and are being held without bond pending a May 15 jury trial.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Perry County Sheriff's Office, Percy Police Department, Steeleville Police Department, Illinois State Police, Sparta Police Department and Southern Illinois Drug Task Force.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The Randolph County State's Attorney's Office also assisted in the investigation.</span>
