Attempted murder suspect arrested Sunday

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">A man police say attempted to murder an elderly woman during a weekend home invasion in Du Quoin is in custody.<br /> The Du Quoin Police confirmed that Trayvon A. Johnson, 31, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in Carbondale. He remained in custody in Carbondale Sunday afternoon.<br /> Johnson had been wanted since the start of the weekend on charges of attempted murder, home invasion, armed robbery, aggravated battery and residential burglary. <br /> According to police, Johnson broke into the home of an elderly Du Quoin resident around 7 a.m. Saturday.<br /> Formal charges in the case are pending.</span></span>
