Frank Schneider

Frank Schneider, 76, of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Reflections Memory Care in Harrisburg.

Mr. Schneider was born on Oct. 6, 1940 in Krusevlje, Yugoslavia to the late Andrew and Marie (Hertztog) Schneider. On June 12, 1971, he married Carole Finney and she survives. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Harrisburg and the Knights of Columbus. He was a retired professor at Southeastern Illinois College.

Surviving family members include his wife: Carol Schneider of Harrisburg; son, Eric Schneider, and wife, Leicia, of Morganfield, Kentucky; daughter, Monica Warren, and husband, Eric, of St. Peters, Missouri; brother, Andrew Schneider, and wife, Hilda, of Chicago; five grandchildren, Deric Schneider, Lauren Schneider, Aiden Schneider, Lauren Rust and Christopher Warren.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Father Francis Opara will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SIC Foundation.
