Ageless art exhibit at Harrisburg library

Ageless Art is the appropriate name of the current exhibit at Harrisburg District Library. The art will remain up until after the first of the year, but the reception for the artists will coincide with the library's annual Christmas open house on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1-3 p.m.

Taught by Libby Morecraft, the Southeastern Illinois College senior adult art class meets weekly on Wednesday mornings.

The class includes: Helen Abell, Diana Berry, Janet Bixler, Mary Sue Ewing, Donna Hearn, Carolyn Miller, Reta Mitchell, Homer Pinkley, Mary Porter, Sandi Price, Marie Reynolds, Jesse Rouse, Linda Sellers, Rose Spence, Robin Stricklin, Gary Trammel, Kay Wallace, Ruth Wallace, Lana Wiley. Most have work in the exhibit.

Visitors to the exhibit at the library will see examples of the variety of media used by these artists. There are pencil and charcoal drawings, watercolor and acrylic paintings, oil paintings, and sculpture.

The work has been grouped by subject, creating a very attractive display. Some of the work is for sale.
