Martha "Pat" Heflin

Martha "Pat" Heflin 82 of Galatia passed away Saturday September 10, 2016 at 8:04 P.M. at her residence. She was born in Saline Co on May 30, 1934 to the late James Robert & Edna Mae (Karnes) Smith. Pat married Freddie Ray Heflin on May 30, 1952 and he preceded on February 5, 1998. She worked as a waitress at the Ramada Inn in Marion and other restaurants and also as a school bus drive in Galatia for 10 years. She was a member of the North America Church. Pat is survived by children Dianna Lynn Greer, Bob Heflin, Edna Mae Duncan & Larry Grabis, 9 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, grandson Jeremie Shane Heflin, 3 brothers Art, Jim & Omer Smith, 4 sisters Elva Johnson, Wilma Karnes, Carmy Hammonds & Ella Mae Smith son in law Gary Greer daughter in law Linda Heflin and son in law Butch Duncan. Funeral services will be Wednesday September 14, 2016 at 12 noon at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation Tuesday September 13, 2016 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Officiating Jimmy Griffin and Rev Mike Weaver with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Memorials to the Ebenezer Cemetery and Tate's Chapel Cemetery.
