Bonnie Ruth Owen

Bonnie Ruth Owen, age 71, of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:46 PM, Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Bonnie was born on July 1, 1944 in Saline County to the late Clarence L. Potter and Ruth Devar. She was a member of Big Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving family members include her daughter: Leslie Owen of Harrisburg; five grandchildren: Dylan and Shawn Fulkerson, Heather Smith, Josh and Dakota Cuttrell; nine great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Gracelynn Vinson, Connor Smith, Austin Crider, Keaton, Kylie and Kaleb Cuttrell and Jamison Cuttrell; two sisters: Clara Edgar of Muddy and Emma Alvey of West Layfette, IN; brother: David Potter of Rancho Cordova, CA; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters: Janet Cuttrell and Leslie Owen and a brother: Lloyd Earl Potter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Ridge Cemetery.
