Chester High School's 'Wild About Cheer' camp will be held Feb. 11-15

Registration is open for the Chester High School cheerleaders' annual Cheer Camp, "Wild About Cheer," to be held Feb. 11, 13, 14 and 15 at the Juergen Gymnasium.

Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (Feb. 11, 13, 14) with a special performance Friday, Feb. 15 at halftime of the JV basketball game between Chester and Sesser-Valier.

Application forms are available at Chester Grade School, St. John Lutheran School and St. Mary's Catholic School. Forms can also be obtained from any CHS cheerleader or from the CHS Cheer Coach, Mandy Lochhead, at (618) 826-2354.

The $25 cost for the camp includes an official 2019 "Wild About Cheer" camp T-shirt, all camp instruction, nightly snacks, games and activities, and the feature performance. Camp is open to all boys and girls, age 3 or older.

Mail or drop off the completed form and payment to: Chester Grade School, c/o Coach Mandy Lochhead, 650 Opdyke St., Chester, 62233. Registration is still possible at the first night of camp, Feb. 11, but those campers won't get their names on the back of their shirt.

Additional camp T-shirts will be available for $15; Black Soffe cheer shorts with the logo are $15; and a 4x6 photo taken with the Chester High School cheerleaders is $5.
