Michael Hillegas DAR chapter welcomes state officers
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Illinois State Organization, District VII held its spring meeting recently at Kokopelli's in Marion. Illinois State Organization Regent Gloria Flathom and several of the state board officers and chairmen were welcomed to southern Illinois on their mini-tour of Illinois DAR chapters.
Mary Rivera, a member of the Michael Hillegas DAR, stands with reverence beside the Missing Man Table set up for Memorial Day at Burger King. The table is a place of honor, set up in memory of fallen, missing, or imprisoned military service members.
