Local celebrity readers visit West Side, East Side schools
HARRISBURG - Well-known members of the local community visited West Side and East Side schools in Harrisburg Wednesday to read stories to various classes.
The Celebrity Readers Program is designed to encourage a love of reading in school-age children.
Readers gathered together for a quick photo before visiting individual classes to read.
West Side School celebrity readers are Emily Drone, Krystal Schwartz, Brandon Culkin, Taylor Abney, Donnie Wall, Brad Russell, Bric Steward, Brent Jones, Clay Ford, Rachel Price, Terah Stearns, Mike Gauch, Stephanie Church, Brandon Henshaw, Chad and Heidi Flannery, Jeri Lyn Joyner, Katie Whiting, Julie Kuppart, Stephanie Susie, Jack Gulley, Kole Phelps, Carter Reed, Nanette Franks, Alli Armstrong, Beth Montfort, Eric Gott, and Dustin Gearing, along with Trudy West and Hannah Drake, who are not in the photo.
