August Beauty Spot awarded to Eldorado couple

The Eldorado Garden Study Club presented its August Beauty Spot award to Tim and Robin McGrath, who live on the corner of Glenwood and Roosevelt avenues.

The home garden features veggies, such as kale, cabbage and collards, and an array of flowers, including hostas, purple bells and coleus.

There is also a bench flanked on each side with ferns and other flowers, along with a fence featuring painted-on poppies. It is the artwork of former student and now working artist Jeremy Stroud.

Robin described the outdoor area as a constant garden: Just add flowers when needed.
