Pet of the Week: Oscar, the friendly tabby

Oscar, a tabby owned by Robert Layton of Johnston City, is an indoor/outdoor cat who behaves like a dog.

He comes when you call him, and he asks to be let outside when he needs to go to the bathroom. Oscar drags his paws over the Venetian blinds to indicate that he wants out.

The 14-year-old tabby spends most of his time outside, stretched out on the porch or sidewalk, but he does enjoy indoor time, especially when it's cold or raining.

Oscar is very social and often seen keeping company with neighborhood cats. Even though his mannerisms mimic those of a dog, Oscar does not have any canine friends.
