Eldorado Garden Club plant sale another blooming success

ELDORADO - It's an event green thumbs eagerly anticipate every year.
Inclement weather did nothing to stop the enthusiasm of the Eldorado Garden Study Club or their patrons Wednesday to the annual "truck load" plant sale.
Garden Club member Carol Hines said they had hoped the 15th annual sale would be blessed with sunny skies. However, cool temperatures and drizzling rain were on tap for the plant sale at Eldorado's First Christian Church, 1125 Walnut St.
"We wish the weather was better, but we can't do anything about that," she said.
Rona Bramlet, another garden club member, said it was an improvement over the heavy precipitation during the 2016 sale.
"Last year, we thought it might wash us out," Bramlet said. "At least this year, the rain's not too bad."
