GALATIA – Young ladies of the Galatia High School on Saturday had the opportunity to select and purchase a little-used formal dress for the prom at a very, very reduced price.
For the first time, the Galatia After-Prom Committee put together a prom-dress sale and organizer Cathy Cockrum was thrilled by the response.

On Thursday evening, Harrisburg City Council gave its stamp of approval on use of a portion of the basement of City Hall as a crime scene investigations office for the Illinois State Police.
