We're lovin' it: Harrisburg McDonald's expected to reopen on Jan. 24

HARRISBURG - The Harrisburg McDonald's restaurant will reopen in less than a week, with several promotions planned for the big day. According to the Moreland/Bishop McDonald's Facebook page, the store will open at 5 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24. The first 100 dine-in customers will receive free Big Macs for a year.

The giveaways don't end there. At 11 a.m., there will be a flag-raising ceremony, and at the same time, the first 200 customers will receive a Harrisburg Bulldogs thermal mug. Then at 5 p.m., the first 100 dine-in customers will receive a free french fry basket.

In addition, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., there will be hourly giveaways for a wide variety of prizes to those who register.

The restaurant, at 617 Commercial St., also will feature a PlayPlace, an indoor activity center for children.

The Moreland/Bishop organization owns 14 McDonald's restaurants throughout southern Illinois.
