HARRISBURG - A Harrisburg heating and air conditioning company received top honors from its distributor recently.

Biggs and Moore Heating and Air is Benoist Brothers' top Ruud Pro Partner Contractor for 2017.

Matt Green, territory manager for Benoist Brothers, said he's proud of Biggs and Moore's accomplishment.

"That award is based on sales and installation of heating and air units, and for a small company in a small town in southern Illinois to have that kind of performance is amazing," Green said. "Their businesses were already bursting at the seams, and after they merged, they doubled their numbers."

Benoist Brothers is an HVAC equipment distributor with locations in Illinois. Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri and Tennessee, Green said.

Andy Biggerstaff, who owned Biggs Heating and Air before he merged with Moore Heating and Air, said he's proud of the accomplishments of Biggs and Moore Heating and Air.

"We've been going at it gangbusters," Biggerstaff said. "We've really been doing a lot of marketing, especially on social media, and it's been huge."

Part of that marketing included Cletus, a long-haired Himalaysian cat adopted by Biggerstaff and his wife Cindy. Cletus became the "shop cat," and the company started featuring him in photos about the business.

"It's funny to me, but people I've never even met before will say, 'Hey, you're the ones with the cat, right?'" Biggerstaff said. "Cletus has been really popular."
