Get an early start on Small Business Saturday in Chester

Small Business Saturday, a joint venture by the Chester Chamber of Commerce and River City Renewal, Inc., kicks off Saturday with a light breakfast for all chamber members and friends at Benson's Wine Bar.

The breakfast, which will be served from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., is sponsored by Gilster-Mary Lee. Benson's will also be the site of a warm up reception starting at 5 p.m. that day.

Participating businesses are Studio Boutique, Magnolia Memories, Coffey's Creations, Rowold Hardware, Benson's, Neal and Sons, Color X-Pressions, Ronnie's Barber Shop and Treasured Memories.

A cash bar will be available and appetizers will be provided and sponsored by River City Renewal.

Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

The Chamber and River City Renewal are urging everyone to take advantage of the wonderful small businesses that call Chester home. While out shopping on Saturday, people are encouraged to support the local restaurants that are in the community.
