New Holland takes over as CEO of Farmers State Bank

Charles M. Holland has taken over as chief executive officer of Farmers State Bank, a locally owned and operated community bank with two branches in Marion and one branch in both Harrisburg and Alto Pass.

Holland, 38, earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from SIU in Carbondale. He joined Farmers State Bank in 2002 and has since held various positions within the organization.

"I have complete confidence in our new CEO," said Tom Franks, chairman of the board. "There is no doubt he has the vision and leadership to take us from a good to great bank."

Holland was born and raised in Harrisburg, where he currently resides with his wife, Amanda, and three sons, Will, Graham and Jack.

He is a director for Harrisburg Medical Center Foundation, assistant treasurer of Dorrisville Baptist Church and active supporter of Harrisburg High School Bulldogs.

"It is a privilege to work for a family organization that is dedicated to the betterment of the Southern Illinois community, customers and employees," Holland said.
