A slight mixup of my own prompted me to clarify the location of state Rep. Brandon Phelps' new district office. The office, located at 607 S. Commercial St., Suite B., Harrisburg, is between McDonald's and Dairy Queen in a small office building owned by Dr. Roger Herrin.
Due to my head being in the clouds before an interview appointment with Phelps this morning, I went to the offices at 617 E. Church hoping to find Phelps' new office. After the third time I walked past David Hauptmann and Timothy Fornes' law office, I decided to call and find out where I'd gone wrong.
That's why I always leave early for interviews.
Eric Fodor covered local politics and the court system since 2001 for the Daily Register/Daily Journal -- until he recently became an employee of Saline County. Before that, he dipped his toe in the water in Carrier Mills village politics, first as a village board member, then as mayor from 1996-1998.
