Eldorado knocks off Harrisburg for 2A title

Eldorado High School put four players in double figures in a 57-41 victory over Harrisburg Friday night as the Eagles won the school's first regional title since 2005.

John Meredith led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points, while Jacob Traxler tacked on 12 down low, while Ethan Partridge and Ray May each put up 10 points for Eldorado (28-3).

Harrisburg (11-16) were led by a game-high 21 points for Isaiah Saulsberry and was the only Bulldog to finish in double figures.

Eldorado's 28 wins in a season is now the third most in school history and the Eagles now advance to Tuesday's IHSA Class 2A Sectional at West Frankfort, where they will take on Robinson at 7 p.m.
