  • Eldorado shoots lowest round of season at Anna-Jonesboro

  • The Eldorado High School girls’ golf team capped off its week with a bounce back effort at Union County Country Club Wednesday.
    The Eagles won the triangular match against Anna-Jonesboro and Cape Notre Dame with a 166.
    Cape Notre Dame was second with a 168 and Anna-Jonesboro finished with a 216.
    Leading the charge for Eldorado was senior Taylor Goodley, who shot a 3-under 33, while sister Ashton carded a 38.
    Continuing to improve on her low scoring, Taylor Aldridge finished with a 42 for EHS, while Jacqlyn Artman came in with a 48.
    Eldorado’s efforts the last two weeks drew praise from head coach Greg Goodley.
    “It was great to bounce back and shoot the lowest round of the year,” he said. “The girls did a great job and finished a tough two weeks for us.”
    Eldorado is now 13-1 on the season and will tee it up again next Tuesday at Saline County Country Club against Herrin.
