  • Two home, one business burglary investigated

  • Saline County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating two home burglaries and one business burglary reported in the past week.

  • On July 31 Brian Farlow reported his home at 750 Cameron Road, Eldorado, reported he had left his home at 3:30 p.m. He returned at 5 p.m. to find his 50-inch Panasonic television missing and cabinets open, according to a Saline County Sheriff’s report.
    Deputy Mike Casteel spoke to Marsha Pray who reported a theft at her residence on Carrier Mills Road, according to a sheriff’s report.
    Pray reported she had been gone to the Nine Day Trail Ride horse riding event. At 1 p.m. Sunday she returned home to find a Cannon multi-lens digital camera, Dell laptop, jewelry, money, a safe, curling iron, a $.50 piece and medication was taken, the report indicates.
    Deputies also responded Sunday to a burglary at Hughes Flooring in Muddy.
    Owners reported someone had entered through a side window, got in the attic and stripped several feet of copper wiring, according to Saline County Sheriff’s Investigator Mike Jones.
    The burglars also took cash and checks. There are no suspects.
