Names in concrete led police to vandals

Two juveniles are regretting their actions today after being apprehended for leaving footprints in fresh concrete beside Mill Street Tuesday afternoon.

Carrier Mills Police Chief Chuck Rubright apprehended the youths and Saline County elected not to prosecute them for the action.

"It wasn't hard to find them," Rubright said in a telephone interview. "They wrote their names in the concrete."

The Saline County Highway Department will use concrete filler to repair the damage to the concrete.
