  • Joy B. Moore, 94, resident of Kankakee, formally of Harrisburg, passed away at her residence Monday, June 16, 2014.

  • Joy B. Moore, 94, resident of Kankakee, formally of Harrisburg, passed away at her residence Monday, June 16, 2014.
    Joy was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Eddyville, to the late Hiram G. and Omah Belle (Jackson) Randolph. On Dec. 24, 1955, she married Paul Wayne Moore who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith.
    She is survived by a daughter, Martha and husband Donald McGraw of Kankakee; a sister, Geraldine Cook of Tuscon, Ariz.; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Randolph of Evansville, Ind., Beverly and husband John Pyke of Michigan; a brother-in-law, Rex and wife Shirley Moore of Floriada; two nieces, Sherry and Denny Ferguson of Mich., Mary Ann Rivera of Harrisburg; a stepgranddaughter, Marijke and husband Whit Verser; and two great-stepgrandchildren, Evan and Annabelle.
    In addition to her parents and husband, Joy was preceded in death by a brother, Waive Randolph; and three sisters, Gay Hull, Happy Locklear and Gloria Small. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Colonial Terrace Funeral home in Eldorado with the Rev. William E. “Bud” McDannel officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
