  • The Harrisburg High School softball team took down the River-to-River Ohio Division regular season conference champions Thursday, knocking off Herrin 4-3.
    The Bulldogs improve to 19-6 overall and 6-3 in league play.
    Hanna Jones (14-3) picked up the win in the circle as the senior allowed nine hits and two earned runs, while striking out seven.
    At the plate, Harrisburg had just four hits, making the most of their efforts as Brittany Reynolds went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Morgan Douglas finished 1-for-3 as well.
    Kaitlyn Hutchinson and Brittany Hutchinson each went 1-for-2, while Kaitlyn had one RBI.
    Harrisburg is scheduled to return to action today (Friday) at home against Marion. The Bulldogs travel to Fairfield Saturday to play in the Mule Invitational.
