  • Eldorado school board on April 17 heard a report from Elementary Principal Blake Bradley on a program that would allow parents to provide input on which teacher their children would study under.

  • Eldorado school board on April 17 heard a report from Elementary Principal Blake Bradley on a program that would allow parents to provide input on which teacher their children would study under.
    School Superintendent Ryan Hobbs said Thursday, “The school will still have final say on the decision depending on student performance.”
    Board Member Stacy James made a motion that the board advertise for bids for good, bakery goods, fuel, fire extinguishers and pest control. The board approved the motion.
    Stacy James again made a motion to approve Eldorado High School joining IHSA for the 2014-2015 school year. The board approved the motion.
    David Bartok made a motion that the board will not replace Eldorado Elementary teacher vacancies, due to retirement and/or transfer, for the 2014-2015 school year, unless federal funding is approved. The motion was approved.
    Jason Kasiar made a motion to approve Tim Stafford as head middle school softball coach for 2014-2015. The motion was approved.
    Jason Kasiar made a motion to approve Megan Harbison as J.V. girl's basketball coach for 2014-2015.
    Larry Parks made a motion to approve Josh Bradley as high school head varsity boy's basketball coach for the 2014-2015 basketball season.
    The dismissal of playground aides Tisha Watt, Blair Melvin, Dolly Mace, Ashley Griffin and Marlene February were approved.
