  • William L. “Bill” Brown, 64, resident of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at his residence.

  • William L. “Bill” Brown, 64, resident of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at his residence.
    Bill was born in Eldorado July 24, 1949, to the late F.X. and Madelin Marie (Horton) Brown. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eldorado. Bill owned William L. Brown Excavating, owned Shawnee Sporting Goods, worked at Contel Telephone and later a superintendent-project manager for Sullivan Electric in Marion. Bill is survived by his high school sweetheart and fiancee, Janet Dodd Mayberry of Eldorado; sons, B.J. (Angie) Brown of Ridgway, Charles Mitchel of Indiana; daughters, Gloria (Scott) Wargel of Eldorado, Laura Hedrick of Mich.; a sister, Neva (David) Mills of Ridgway; grandchildren, Kiley Alexandria Brown of Ridgway, Luke, Macy and Emma Wargel of Eldorado, Kristina, Kyle and Joshua Hedrick of Michigan and Melissa and Allison Michel of Indiana.
    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil, Louis, Lawrence; and four sisters, Betty Hooper, Heneritta Davis, Frances Balog and Mary Leek.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with Fr. Steven Beatty officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with prayer service at 7 p.m. In addition to flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Kateri Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home
