  • As Holy Week culminates with Easter Sunday and reflections on sacred teachings, the kids are going to be offered lighter opportunities for Easter egg hunts.
    We have been told of a few hunts taking place in the county this weekend.
    Eldorado
    The Eldorado American Legion has renewed the Mahoney Park egg hunt tradition in Eldorado. The Easter Egg Hunt is 1 p.m. Saturday in Mahoney Park near the swimming pool. Children of all ages are welcome.
    Carrier Mills
    Carrier Mills will have a hunt sponsored by the Carrier Mills Methodist Church at Washington Street Park from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday
    Harrisburg
    The Harrisburg Lions Club is sponsoring its annual hunt 2 p.m. Easter Sunday at Harrisburg High School’s Taylor Field.
    There will be age specific events from age 0 to 12 years.
    A special event for the mentally challenged or handicapped will be held as well.
    Spring Valley
    Spring Valley Social Brethren Church hosts an Easter egg hunt following its morning worship at 9:30 a.m. The festivities begin with a 6:30 a.m. Sunrise service, an 8 a.m. breakfast, 9 a.m. Sunday school, 9:30 a.m. morning worship and then — egg time.
