  • Eagles pound out 13 hits in win over BDC foe Foxes

  • The Eldorado High School baseball team pounded out 13 hits in an 11-1 win over Hamilton County Thursday at the Eldorado Sports Complex.
    Tyler Deaton led the charge at the plate, finishing 3-for-4 with a run scored. Adam Collier, Drew Woolcott, Dylan Roberts and Braydon VanZant all had a pair of hits.
    Roberts knocked in three runs, scoring three runs as well, while Woolcott and VanZant each had a pair of RBI’s.
    Dylan Riddle had a hit and knocked in a pair of runs, while Christian Dalton scored two runs.
    Collier picked up the win on the mound, improving to 1-1 on the season, scattering four hits, allowing one earned run and striking out eight, while walking just two.
    The Eagles jumped on Hamilton County early with a three-run first inning. Eldorado followed that up with five more runs in the third and tacked on three more runs in the fourth.
    Hamilton County, who was led by Aaron Uhls’ 2-for-3 performance at the plate, scored its lone run in the fourth inning.
    Dakota Farthing picked up the loss for the Foxes, tossing three innings and allowed eight earned run on nine hits, while striking out five and walking one.
    Eldorado returns to action Monday at home against Hardin County.
    The Eagles then play at Vienna and Johnston City on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a home game against Trico Thursday and closes out the week at Crab Orchard Friday.
