  • Harrisburg Police arrested a Harrisburg man accused of burglarizing a Rent One vehicle Tuesday.
At 4:33 p.m. a Rent One employee reported a man being inside the Rent One vehicle at Mill Street at Lincoln Street, according to Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith.
Smith said Brenton Reed, 27, 16 W. Lincoln St., Harrisburg, told officers he had entered the vehicle trying to get money to pay for food.
Officers found Reed had tools in his possession and had removed a speaker from the vehicle, throwing it beneath another nearby car, Smith said.
Officers charged Reed with burglary, theft under $500 and criminal damage to property.
Smith said Reed became agitated en route to the Saline County Detention Center, trying to head butt the squad car cage and the officer had to pull over to physically restrain him.
