Five charged with meth offenses

A traffic stop by Harrisburg Police led to the arrest of five Harrisburg people on various meth charges Tuesday.

Harrisburg Police Officer Sgt. Michael Riden performed the stop Tuesday evening. Police Chief Bob Smith did not have details on the stop as the incident report is incomplete.

Arrested were:

Logan Wade Westbrook, 24, 322 W. Elm St., Harrisburg, 5:15 p.m. March 25 on charges of methamphetamine manufacture and possession of meth precursor.

Michael Anthony Zante, 30, 325 E. Locust St., Harrisburg, 5:15 p.m. March 25 on charges of possession of meth, meth manufacturing and possession of meth precursor.

Brian Gene Stafford, 48, 3475 state Route 13, Harrisburg, 5:15 p.m. March 25 on charges of violation of probation, meth manufacture and possession of meth precursor.

Patricia Anne Jenkins, 33, 318 W. Elm St., Harrisburg, 5:15 p.m. March 25 on charges of meth manufacture and possession of meth precursor.

Betty Joyce Westbrook, 58, 322 W. Elm St. Apt. C, Harrisburg, 5:15 p.m. March 25 on charges of meth manufacture and possession of meth precursor.

All remained held at the Saline County Detention Center Wednesday awaiting court appearances for setting bond.
