  • Harrisburg finished eighth out of 16 teams, bringing home 102 points with one first place finish, a trio of third place finishes and a sixth place finish.
Marion won the event with 214 points, while West Frankfort (184), Carterville (182.5), Lawrenceville (162) AND Mt. Carmel (156) rounded out the top five.
Benton (143.5), Fairfield (110), Harrisburg, Robinson (65) and Carmi-White County (39) finished out the top 10.
"Due to sickness and injury we only took seven with us," Harrisburg head coach Greg Langley said. "With that being said we had a fairly good day with being so short handed on the mats. We still need to make strides with our offense, but I have seen signs of improvement. We just have to be more consistent with scoring from neutral.
"One of our goals right now is to get our kids healthy and back at it for Thursday's dual at Carmi."
Harrisburg's Darren O'Dell brought home the lone first place finish for the Bulldogs, as the 120 pounder knocked off Carmi-White County's A.J. Dees with a 13-0 major decision win.
Austin Lowry was one of two others to pick up a third place finish. Lowry, competing in the 145-pound division, knocked off Lawrenceville's Hoa Bobe with a fall time of 3:19.
Lucian Hicks had a third place finish, beating West Frankfort's Jeremiah Teal in a time of 2:14 and in the 220-pound division, Tyler Owens knocked off Anna-Jonesboro's Eric Reed with a pin fall at 1:42 for third place.
In the 195-pound division, Cole Adams lost to Fairfield's Thomas Toombs with a 9-2 decision for sixth place.
