  • Molly L. Honea, 81 of Equality, was called home by the Lord, on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, after a brief illness with cancer.
Molly Louise was born on July 23, 1932, to the late James and Anita (Millspaugh) Sisk of Equality. On June 4, 1948, she married Ronald Lee Honea, a young man from Arkansas, fresh out of the navy. Molly worked for many years at the Equality Telephone Company as a switch board operator, before having her only daughter Jami in 1967. Molly is survived by her husband Ronald. They were married for 65 years. She is also is survived by her daughter Jami and Chris Ozee of Ridgway; one granddaughter, Natalie and Troy Green of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; one great-granddaughter, Madelyn Ivy Green. Natalie and Madelyn were the apple of her eyes. Anyone who knew Molly for any amount of time knew what a kind, loving, giving person she was and she will be greatly missed by the community. Please know the family takes great comfort in knowing that Molly is at peace, pain free and in the arms of her Jesus that she loved so dearly and spoke of so often.
Due to Molly’s wishes there will be no visitation only a graveside service 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality. The Rev. Duke Williams will be officiating. Anyone who wishes to attend please gather at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Equality Full Gospel Church of Harrisburg or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
