  • The Eldorado High School girls' basketball team flexed a little muscle in a 64-33 Black Diamond Conference win Monday night at Fairfield.
    Kourtney Phillips inched closer to the 1,000 point plateau with another strong performance as the senior tossed in a team-high 16 points.
    The Eagle guard now needs 15 points for 1,000.
    Phillips was 8-of-14 from the field and was joined in double figures by Taylor Goodley, who scored 12 points, Jacqlyn Artman added 11 and Paige Zertuche scored 10 points in the winning effort.
    Eldorado shot 54 percent from the field, going 29-53, a mark that included a 36 percentage from beyond the arc as they shot 4-of-11.
    Dresdyn Bramlet scored seven points for EHS, while Abby Steed finished with five points and Caitlin Stafford tacked on three points.
    In addition to her game-high 16 points, Phillips handed out seven assists, came away with five steals and grabbed three rebounds.
    Eldorado had 38 rebounds on the night, 34 of which came on the defensive end.
    The Eagles will take to the court Saturday when they play host to Johnston City in a 1 p.m. matchup at Duff-Kingston Gymnasium.
