  • The new elevator in the Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School is up and running. The elevator passed the state safety inspection on Wednesday afternoon and is now available for use by handicapped students or students with leg or foot injuries.
The computer and library rooms are the upper and lower floor rooms in which the elevator is located. These had been rearranged for the installation and will be restored to their former condition by the beginning of the first week in December.
Sophomore Megan Thomason, who had injured her foot in a volleyball accident, was the first passenger on the new elevator after the dismissal bell rang Wednesday afternoon.
