Virginia Fritts, 91 of Harrisburg, passed away 10:40 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Harrisburg to Herschel and Erma Bramlet Yarbrough. She married the Rev. Willard Fritts and he preceded her in death April 20, 1996. She was the last remaining charter member of the First Apostolic Church in Harrisburg which was organized in 1937.
Surviving Virginia are her three children, David of Las Vegas, Nev., Phillip and Barbara of Harrisburg and Angela and Michael Shiver of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; one brother, Gordon Yarbrough of West Frankfort; and 10 grandchildren, Evelyn Erley, Ben Fritts, Amanda Iannuzzi, Phillip Fritts Jr., Heidi Lewis, Meagan Lewis, Sharon Shiver, Miles Shiver and Sara Shiver; along with 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard; and a grandson, Davis Lewis.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Fritts officiating and burial in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
