  • An accident on Corinth Road Wednesday afternoon took the life of Rosanna Dale, 55, of Galatia.
Dale was traveling East on the Corinth Road near Alleghany Road in Williamson County. Dale apparently lost control on the lower end of the switchback curve at that location, drove into the ditch and overturned, coming to rest upright an top of the dangerous curve sign.
Brooke Dale, 20, of Harrisburg and Aundria Murphy, 26 of Carrier Mills were the first people on the scene. The young women were returning from Johnston City. Brooke Dale is of no relation to the victim. Murphy is an EMT employed by Medforce EMS of Eldorado. The women called 911 as they approached the wreck.
“We got out and ran over to the wreck,” said Dale. “It looked like the car had rolled, the front and back windows were broken out and the front of the car was damaged. The woman was sitting up in the drivers seat with her seatbelt on.
She was unconscious when we got to her.”
Another driver, a worker for a local power company, had arrived on the scene and the three pried the door open and removed the victim from her car. Murphy immediately checked the victim for a pulse.
“Aundria got a pulse of 40 beats per minute,” Dale said. “But we lost her pulse after about 10 minutes.”
The power company worker and Dale held the victims head while Murphy performed CPR.
“The power company worker had an AED with him and I used that,” Murphy said.
“It was unsuccessful. Members of the Williamson County Fire Protection District got there about 10 minutes after we did.
“They assisted me in attempting to resuscitate the victim.”
“Aundria worked on her for about 20 minutes until the ambulance got there. She never regained consciousness, she just opened her eyes and looked at us once, then she closed her eyes,” Dale said.
The Williamson County Corner’s press release places the time of the accident at approximately 1:59 p.m. Rosanna Dale was pronounced dead by Williamson County Corner Michael “Junior” Burke at 3:04 p.m. at the Heartland Medical Center in Marion. Cause of death was listed as injuries sustained in the accident.
