  • Prep Volleyball: Eldorado takes Carmi-White County to the limit on hardwood

  • The Eldorado High School volleyball team ended their season Monday night in the Edwards County Class A Regional, losing to Carmi-White County 25-20, 21-25 and 21-25.
    "The girls battled the whole night," head coach Lisa Craig said. "A few things just didn't go our way. We were in it the whole time. Carmi did a great job of digging. Our serving was excellent again with everyone getting at least one ace.
    Senior Erica Graczyk was 18-of-22 on spikes with 12 kills, while going 11-for-13 on serves with 13 points, two aces and two kills for blocks. Fellow classmate Sadie Steed went 6-for-10 on spikes with three kills and finished 11-for-13 on serves with 13 points, two aces and played well defensively with nine digs, while senior Kourtney Phillips was 8-for-9 with five kills, while going 11-for-11 serves with 11 points and one ace.
    Abby Steed was 13-for-14 on spikes with seven kills and went 11-for-12 on serves with 10 points and three aces. Dresdyn Bramlet finished 7-for-7 on spikes with two kills and went 7-for-7 on serves with eight points and one ace.
    Mary Mitchell was 39-for-43 on sets and 13-of-15 on serves with 15 points and five aces.
