  • Charles Vernon “Chuck” Sullivan, 63 of Eldorado, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, in St. Louis, Mo.
    He was born in Eldorado on June 18, 1950, to the late Vernon Sullivan and Helen (Simpson) Sullivan. He was a veteran and worked as an electrician all his life. On July 9, 2001, he married Vicky (Carman) and she survives in Eldorado.
    He was a member of the Eldorado First Baptist Church where he was baptized on June 17, 1960, and a past president of the Eldorado Lion’s Club and a member of the IBEW local No. 702 out of West Frankfort.
    Besides his wife Vicky, he is survived by his mother, Helen Sullivan of Harrisburg; two sons, Mike (Joni) Sullivan of Harrisburg and Brett (Melissa) Sullivan of Harrisburg; a sister, Cheryl (John) Ledbetter of Harrisburg; a stepson, Robert William (Becky) Weigt of Eldorado; and two stepdaughters, Stacy (Doug) Cottom of Harrisburg and Tracy (Gary) Owen of Eldorado. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Laney, Lawson, Livvie, Tyler, McKenzie, Haley and Chase Sullivan and; stepgrandchildren, Oliver and Allison Weigt and Gari-Anne and Gretchen Owen.
    He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Shannon Sullivan II; and a granddaughter, Emily Scout Weigt. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Frances Simpson; and his paternal grandparents, John Henry and Marie Sullivan.
    Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harrisburg and Eldorado youth athletics programs and left at the funeral home.
