  • The Eldorado High School volleyball team got a much needed win Tuesday night in action against Zeigler-Royalton, winning 25-11 and 25-14.

    Mary Mitchell and Dresdyn Bramlet had great nights on the line as both helped head coach Lisa Craig serve up a win.
    Mitchell was 13-for-14 on serves with 15 points and five aces. She also finished 32-for-32 on sets. Bramlet was 10-for-10 on serves with 10 points and four aces. She finished 5-for-5 on spikes with three kills.
    Erica Graczyk was 9-for-11 on spikes with three kills and 9-for-9 on serves with 10 points and one ace. The senior also finished with two blocks and two kills. Kourtney Phillips went 11-for-14 on spikes with three kills and 7-for-7 on serves with seven points and one ace.
    Sadie Steed went 6-for-8 on spikes with two kills and 2-for-3 on serves with three points. Abby Steed was 5-for-8 on spikes with two kills and 5-for-6 on serves with 6 points.
    HARRISBURG — The Harrisburg High School volleyball team lost in straight sets to Massac County Tuesday night, falling 25-22 and 25-17.
    Harrisburg head coach Stephanie Ferrell said her blocks and defense did a great job against a potent Massac County ballclub.
    "I was proud of how the blolckers got their timing down and the defense picked up the deflections."
    Devan Jones had two solo blocks, two deflections and two assists, while coming away with 10 hits and three kills. Brantlea Jones had two solo blocks and one deflection to go along with one hit and one kill.
    Whitney Younger came away with 11 digs, six hits, three kills and one assist. Ashley Ferrell finished with four digs and went 9-of-10 on hits with one kill.
    Hayley Thompson went 3-for-3 in the hitting department, while finishing with one kill, one solo block and two deflections.
    Audree Morecraft went 8-for-8 on hits with one kill, while finishing with a perfect 5-for-5 line on sets with two assists and finished with two digs, two solo blocks and four assists for the Bulldogs.
    Malayna Douglas went 44-for-46 on sets with three assists and had eight digs, while Brittany Reynolds finished 35-for-37 on sets with five assists and four digs.
    Hannah Bartok had seven digs, while Parker Upchurch finished with five.
