  • Local squads like the Eldorado and Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School cross country teams took part in Thursday's Benton Invite.
    Eldorado's Dempsey Hankins had a 33rd place finish, crossing the line at 24:07, while Kelsea Newman finished with a time of 28:25 for a 68th place finish.
    For the Eagle boys, Derek Mayberry had a 24th place finish with a time of 21:37, while Ben Partridge was 50th, crossing the line at 28:30.
    Carrier Mills-Stonefort's Alyssa Binkley ran in a time of 31.39 for a 83rd place finish. In the junior race, Loren Whiting ran in a time of 20:15 for an 18th place showing, while Eldorado junior Richard Graceffa was 24th with a time of 20:48.
    In the sophomore race, Eldorado's Bret Plunkett medaled with a time of 19:30 for a 12th place finish, while Dillion Sigler ran in a time of 20:52 for 19th place. Adam Sigler was 43rd in a time of 25:11 and Josh Pilkington was 50th with a time of 29:57.
    In the freshmen race, Eldorado's Ethan Partridge medaled with a seventh place finish in a time of 20:444, while Carrier Mills-Stonefort's freshmen duo of Christian Fuller was 10th with a time of 21:02 and Dylan Kyle was 13th with a time of 21:18.
