The Harrisburg High School soccer team and Mt. Vernon, Ind., played to a 1-1 tie Saturday at Michael Herrin Field.
Carver Gregg knotted the score at 1-all with a goal in the second half for the Bulldogs.
Harrisburg's Brennan Hawkins and Ryan Cowsert spilt time in goal for the Bulldogs as Hawkins made three saves and Coswert allowed one goal on three saves.
Harrisburg put up 10 shots on goal with Cody Morris shooting three, Anfernee Houston, Hunter Ragan and Gregg all had two, while Luke Horton had one.
"We were on out heels the whole the first half and Mt. Vernon was able to take advantage of the opportunities," Harrisburg head coach Mike Stewart said. "Our possession game was off today and we struggled to get control after turnovers. All in all our game has improved dramatically and we are starting to gel as a team. With post-season playoffs in a couple of weeks, we are heading in the right directions."
