The Eldorado High School volleyball team lost in straight sets at Fairfield Thursday night, falling 25-21 and 27-25.
"The first game we were sluggish at the beginning of the game and then we got going, but we never could get into a real rhythm tonight," Eldorado head coach Lisa Craig said. "The second game we played better, but we would have a run of three or four points then make a mental mistake. The serves that we missed came at a time when we would be on a roll and miss the serve and lose the ball. We just didn't play up to our best ability tonight."
Kourtney Phillips had a good match with a 4-for-4 line on sets, finishing with eight spikes and six kills, while going 8-for-9 on serves with nine points.
Abby Steed finished 3-for3 with one kills and 6-for-8 on serves with six points and two aces.
Mary Mitchell went 28-for-29 on hits with a kill, 7-for-7 on serves with eight points. Sadie Steed was 3-for-3 on spools with eight points and an ace. Dresdyn Bramlet was 4-for-4 with four kills and finished 3-for-3 on serves with three points, one ace and a block.
Erica Graczyk was 7-for-11 with kills and went 9-for-11 on serves with 11 points and an ace. The senior also finished 3-for-4 ob blocks with one kill.
Eldorado is scheduled to play at Vienna Monday, starting at 7 p.m.
