The Harrisburg High School volleyball team lost in straight sets at Benton Tuesday night, falling 25-10 and 15-14.
Devan Jones led the Bulldogs in hits with eight, and had two kills, while Whitney Younger and Ashley Ferrell each had four. Haley Thompson added two. Younger had four kills and three digs on the night, while Ferrell finished with three kills. The senior outside hitter also had three digs on the night.
Jones had four blocks , two kills and one stuff in the loss, while Brantlea Jones went four-for-six on hits with three kills and added a stuff. Parker Upchurch went 6-for-9 on digs.
Brittany Reynolds went 21-for-21 on sets with three assists, while Malayna Douglas went 18-for-22 on sets with four assists.
The Benton junior varsity team also won in straight sets, winning 25-9 and 25-15, while the freshmen club lost in three sets, 11-25, 25-23 and 9-15.
Harrisburg is scheduled to play host to Murphysboro Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Davenport Gymnasium.
