  • Eldorado knocks off CWC by 37 strokes

  • The Eldorado High School girls' golf team handled Carmi-White County Monday, winning 163-200.
    Ashton and Taylor Goodley battled for medalist honors for eight holes until Ashton's birdie on No. 9 edged twin sister Taylor by a stroke.
    Ashton finished with a one-over 36, while Taylor shot a 37.
    Sam Mings carded a 43 for the Eagles, while Taylor Aldridge fired a 47. Jaclyn Artman had a 51 for Eldorado, while Ragan Gray finished with a 52.
    "We are getting better as individuals, which is moving our team score down to the low 160's," EHS head coach Greg Goodley said. "A score that we will need in the post season. I really like the work that the girls are putting in, and it shows that with homecoming Friday and over the weekend, they got to the course and played, and they understand they have to do that the rest of the season to play well in the regional."
    The Eldorado girls' golf team is scheduled to play host to Johnston City today (Tuesday) at 4 p.m. at Saline County Country Club.
